    Yes, for two reasons:

    1. The UK uses two types of waste pipe these waste pipes wont fit inside the waste without using the offset.
    2. The offset is needed to direct the waste pipe below the floor, not using it will mean the waste is too tight to the floor boards and may cause a leak.
